"Different People. Different Beliefs. One Faith."
— Unitarian Universalists. The Uncommon Denomination WE WELCOME YOU!
Welcome, and thank you for visiting the Juneau Unitarian Universalist
Fellowship website. Please come by and let us welcome you personally!
The best way to learn about us is to worship with us.
UPCOMING SERVICES
MAY 9 - What Will You Think of Next? - The Reverend
Sarah Schurr from Portland Oregon will be our guest again this Sunday. There will also be a special musical
number by Beverly Haywood and a few of her friends. Please join us for a thoughtful, celebratory service. MAY 16 - Toward a Nuclear Weapons-Free World
- David Culp of the Friends Committee on National
Legislation in Washington D.C. will describe the important efforts being made
to eliminate nuclear weapons, including the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty
recently signed by President Obama and Russian Dmitry Medvedev. Lay Leader is
Ben Creasy. Our special social justice collection will be taken this morning
for Juneau People for Peace and Justice. MAY 23 - Annual Meeting of the Fellowship will
take place following a very brief worship service. MAY 30 - Memorial Day service of quiet
reflection. Lay leader is Pat McLear. JUN 6 - Flower Communion - A beloved annual
ceremony originated by a UU minister from Eastern Europe before he was murdered
by the Nazis during W.W.II. Despite its historic resonances, this is a service
of hope and joy. Please bring a blossom to add to the
communion/community/communal bouquet.
