WE WELCOME YOU!

    Welcome, and thank you for visiting the Juneau Unitarian Universalist Fellowship website. Please come by and let us welcome you personally! The best way to learn about us is to worship with us.

    We are currently meeting at Temple Sukkat Shalom at
Corner of Cordova St. and Foster Ave. just across the Douglas Bridge from downtown Juneau. The Sunday service is from 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM. Free childcare is available.The service is followed by refreshments, conversation, and fellowship until 12:15 PM. Family Worship is from 12:15 PM - 1:00 PM.  Dress for worship and all other events is casual. We want you to be as comfortable here as we are!

    If you want more information about what a "typical" service may be like please go here. We put typical in quotes because although many of our services follow this format others do not. In fact, you can never be sure exactly what to expect on a Sunday morning. If you visit for the first time and that particular service does not move you, please come at least two more times to get a fuller picture of our Fellowship. We are sure that we will grow on you.

UPCOMING SERVICES

MARCH 7 - All About NAMI  - will be presented by Laura Manley, Executive Director of National Alliance for the Mentally Ill-Juneau, who will discuss the program's focus, programs, and goals. Jetta Whittaker is lay leader.

MARCH 14 - A World Ensouled - Rich Moniak of the Juneau People for Peace and Justice and Veterans for Peace will talk about how reimagining the world's natural beauty may be on the path to Gandhi's call to be the change we wish to see in the world. Lay leader is Dixie Hood.

MARCH 21 - Nowruz: a New (Old) Way to Celebrate Spring - With our mild winter, this equinox is the perfect time to welcome spring and the coming year, Persian-style. Rachel Zahnd will lead this exotic, new (and perhaps first annual) celebration.

MARCH 28 - PNWD District Meeting 2010 - Andrea Doll went to the District Assembly and is awestruck!    What fun, what opportunities! Come find out more about the UUs, like: the Partnerships, JustWorks, the Service Committee's many, many world wide services, the Women's Federation, and grant opportunities. Lay leader is Pat McLear.
