The bylaws provide for several standing committees. Those committees are described below. In addition, the board establishes special task forces to handle specific tasks for a definite time frame when required.

Standing Committees:

Fellowship Services - This committee plans services for the year and provides the leadership for lay lead services. It also arranges for guest speakers, visiting ministers, and special programs. Board liaison, Martha Quinn.

Religious Education for Children, Youth, and Adults - This committee plans and administers all aspects of religious education for the church year. Board liaison, Anjela Johnston.

Membership and Community Outreach - These committees were combined because of the relationship between our outreach efforts and membership growth. The committee arranges for greeters for every JUUF event, works with the board to develop a "pathway to membership" track, and oversees our Welcoming Congregation obligations. Board liaison, Ellen Pavitt.

Finance and Stewardship - This committee prepares the budget and stewardship strategies to ensure sufficient revenue to finance the budget.  The committee recommends investment strategies to the board and administers the investment portfolio. Board liaison, Steve Wade.

Social Functions - This committee oversees coffee hours, birthday celebrations, and other social events.

Building and Grounds – This committee will ensure that our responsibilities related to any facility we rent or purchase are carried out. It will work with the Social Justice committee to achieve green sanctuary status if we purchase our own building. Board liaison, Duane Callahan.

Social Justice – This committee will coordinate all social justice activities of the fellowship. It will work with the Building and Grounds committee to develop a strategy for achieving green sanctuary status under the UUA guidelines. It also makes recommendations to the board and the congregation when an event or activity should be formally sponsored or supported by JUUF and nominate charities for the receipt of monthly dedicated plate collections. Board liaison, Pam Watts.

Committee Membership – Any person who attends JUUF on a regular basis may serve on a committee. Membership in the Fellowship is required only for a position on the elected board.
